“October” is on the printed setlist after “Angel Of Harlem,” but it isn’t played.
“The Troubles” is played for the fourth time this tour, and the first since June 16 in Montreal.
The last song on the printed setlist is “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” but U2 closes the show instead with “One.” And it’s a mess. Bono lets the audience do most of the singing, as he’s done throughout much of the tour so far, but the crowd and band aren’t in sync tonight. The song is stopped and restarted twice. Bono tells the crowd that “the rhythm has to come from the drummer” and says, “I’m not a fussy rock star, just picky.” There were problems earlier in the show, too, when Bono seemed to be singing out of sync with the music during “Invisible.” Some fans at the show say they think it seemed like Bono was having trouble with his in-ear monitors tonight.
Other notes:
Bono tells the crowd that Anton Corbijn is at the show, and namechecks Julian Lennon (“Julian Lennon right in front of you”) during “Beautiful Day.”
Tonight’s intermission video is “The Fly.”
During “Mother And Child Reunion,” a new video plays that scrolls a list of people, companies and organizations that have contributed to the fight against HIV/AIDS.
