ASCOLTATE IL BRANO SU SOUNDSCLOUD O SU NME.COM
A new album of previously unreleased Jimi Hendrix recordings is set for release on March 4 – and you can listen to the track ‘Earth Blues’ exclusively on nme.com or soundscloud.
All 12 tracks on the album, titled ‘People, Hell & Angels’ were recorded between 1968 and 1970 and were meant for ‘First Days Of The New Rising Sun’, the follow up to ‘Electric Ladyland’ that Hendrix was working on when he passed away in 1970. The album will be available digitally from March 5 and will also get a physical release on April 1.
The album saw Hendrix working with new musicians – including Buffalo Springfield’s Stephen Stills and drummer Buddy Miles amongst others. It was co-produced by Janie Hendrix, John McDermott and Eddie Kramer – who engineered every album issued by the guitarist in his lifetime and recorded numerous Hendrix concerts such as the now-legendary Woodstock festival in August 1969. Since 1997, Kramer has teamed with Janie Hendrix and John McDermott to oversee the re-release of each Jimi Hendrix album.
