Glasvegas frontman James Allan has revealed that the band’s third album will be called ‘Whoever Shouts The Loudest’.
The album, the follow-up to 2011’s ‘Euphoric Heartbreak’, will be released next year. It was self-produced by Allan in his Glasgow home.
Speaking to NME, Allan shared the album title as well as a handful of track titles, saying: “It’ll be called ‘Whoever Shouts The Loudest’. The track titles include I’d Rather Be Dead Than Be With You’, ‘All I Want Is My Baby’, ‘Later… When The TV Turns To Static’ and ‘If’. But sorry, I can’t tell you what they’re like yet.”
Allan also tackled the issue of ‘Euphoric Heartbreak’ flopping commercially and Glasvegas being dropped by their record label, Columbia, as a result of the poor sales. “It’s hard for any artist to really understand why someone would have a connection to their passion,” said Allan. “There are records I didn’t like at first but grew to love over time – ‘Euphoric…’ may be one of those for other people. They’ve just got to get to know it better.”
