Marina And The Diamonds has secured her first ever UK Number One album with ‘Electra Heart’.
The singer debuted straight into the top spot, toppling Jack White’s ‘Blunderbuss’, which has fallen two places to sit in Number Three, according to the Official Charts Company.
The news will no doubt bring a smile to Marina And The Diamonds’ Marina Diamandis, who was forced to postpone her up-coming UK Tour after being told by doctors to rest her vocal chords.
Lana Del Rey moves up to Number Two with ‘Born To Die’ and Norah Jones scores the second highest new entry with ‘Little Broken Hearts’, landing in the Number Four spot. Adele’s mega-selling ’21’ makes up the Top 5.
Elsewhere in the UK Album Chart, Marilyn Manson scored his sixth UK Top 20 album with ‘Born Villain’ and The Mystery Jets just sneaked into the Top 40 with their new album ‘Radlands’.
In the singles chart, Tulisa ends Carly Rae Jepsen’s four-week stint at Number One, claiming the top spot by nudging the ‘Call Me Maybe’ singer into Number Two. Fun’s ‘We Are Young’ is a non-mover at Number Three and Cover Drive debut in at Number Four with Sparks. Alex Clare’s ‘Too Close’ climbed yet another place to reach the Top 5.
