Radiohead’s long-time visual collaborator Stanley Donwood has confirmed that he has heard the band’s new album, describing the LP as “a work of art”.
Radiohead are expected to release a new album shortly, having recently announced a UK tour alongside a series of summer festival dates.
Donwood has worked with the group since producing the cover art for their 1994 single ‘My Iron Lung’. He recently spoke to DIY about the band’s new record, what will be their first since 2011’s ‘King of Limbs’.
“It’s a work of art,” Donwood said before confirming that he’s heard the album, which is “not yet” entirely finished.
Asked about whether he had finished work on the album’s artwork, Donwood replied: “There’s quite a lot I still have to do”.
Quizzed on which Radiohead artwork has been his personal favourite, Donwood responded by saying: “I’ve just had a think about this, and I think it’s the one that no-one’s seen yet. It was made by the strong warm winds of southern France.”
