We would be amiss if we didn’t begin by thanking those of you who committed your hard earned money to purchase tickets for an upcoming Decemberists Concert Experience™. Thank you. We are truly grateful, having been strangers to the stage (in this formation, anyway) for over three years (minus a few odd appearances), for your enthusiasm to see us caper the boards for a few hours. Without further ado, we would like to present to you, O Mailing List Recipient, the video for “Make You Better.” Filmed on location in a 1977 Berlin backlot, the video has your humble Decemberists performing on the time-honored OLD BLUE ROCK PALACE SHOW. Our good friend and fellow facial hair enthusiast, Nick Offerman, kindly donated his immeasurable talents to the project. Check it out HERE.

We Decemberists truly love our nation’s independent record stores. We’ve loved them since our childhood. True, many of the ones we loved as children no longer exist, but that should give us all the more reason to support the ones that have survived. And no better way to do so by visiting your local independent record store on Black Friday, the nom de guerre of November 28th, where you will find, listing in the bins, a freshly-pressed 7” vinyl record of MAKE YOU BETTER, backed with FITS & STARTS (the latter being an exclusive non-album track!). AND ON!
We Decemberists also love TELEVISION. And so we are appearing on Conan O’Brien’s late night television show to perform that aforesaid song, from video and vinyl fame, MAKE YOU BETTER. This will be occurring Wednesday, December 3rd, and will no doubt blow the cathodes in your Oculus VR. BLORPH IT.
IN SUMMATION
