Although singer Jeff Tweedy has been focusing on his family duo Tweedy as of late, this is also a very important year for his band Wilco, since 2014 marks their 20th anniversary. To celebrate, the group have some big plains for the remainder of the year.
There are two archival releases on the way: a best-of compilation and a box set of rarities. The details surrounding these collections have yet to be confirmed, but information is bound to emerge soon.
Additionally, the band will embark on a brief U.S. tour this fall, but this sadly doesn’t include any Canadian stops. This will include a stop at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on October 27.
Stay tuned for more details about Wilco’s forthcoming anniversary plans. Meanwhile, Tweedy’s Sukierae will drop on September 16 via dBpm.
