In 2012, a film called Beautiful Noise was funded via Kickstarter—it’s a documentary on seminal shoegaze artists My Bloody Valentine, Cocteau Twins, the Jesus and Mary Chain, Slowdive, Ride, Chapterhouse, Lush, Curve, Swervedriver, and others. The film’s premiere has now been announced.
The documentary will premiere on May 31 and screen again on June 1 at the Seattle International Film Festival. Director Eric Green and producer Sarah Ogletree will attend the screening. The film is also scheduled for screenings at the Sheffield Doc Fest on June 8-9.
Beautiful Noise features interviews with Wayne Coyne, Trent Reznor, Billy Corgan, Robert Smith, and several others.
