Last night, Arcade Fire kicked off the U.S. leg of their world tour in support Reflektor with a performance at Louisville, KY’s hallowed KFC Yum! Center. Spanning 20 songs, the band’s setlist varied little from what they played in Australia last month, mixing Reflektor material with “Haiti”, “Rebellion (Lies)”, “Wake Up”, and several songs off 2010?s The Suburbs. The set opened with an acoustic rendition of “My Body Is a Cage” and also included a cover of The Rolling Stones’ “The Last Time”. (The original setlist on stage also included “Controversy”, possibly a Prince cover?, but wasn’t played.)
As ArcadeFireTube notes, Arcade Fire’s stage was donned with mirrors, reminiscent of Radiohead’s setup for The King of Limbs. The video screen in the backdrop also looks mighty impressive.
