Interpol have spoken to Q about sessions for their new album, explaining they’ve made quick progress following up their 2010 self-titled LP.
Despite breaking for side projects and this being their first sessions without founding bassist Carlos Dengler, guitarist Daniel Kessler insists in our latest issue, Q331 out now, the new record has come together quickly.
“We don’t really discuss anything beyond the songs,” he explains of the band’s approach. “The first writing sessions Paul [Banks, frontman] and I got together was really fruitful.
“We got really excited about how quickly the songs were moving forward.”
