Tonight from the Nokia Theater in L.A., the Recording Academy announced nominees for the 56th annual Grammy Awards. Leading the nominations is Jay Z, who has nine nods. Kendrick Lamar, Justin Timberlake, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and Pharrell Williams all came in second with seven nominations. And in a pleasant surprise, Neko Case, The National and Vampire Weekend are up for an award in the Best Alternative Album category.
Take a look at the full list below. And while we’re here, can we talk about how it’s a little weird to see Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir” getting a Grammy nomination in 2014? You can check out our own favorite albums of the year here.
The Grammys are set to air Jan. 26 on CBS starting at 8 p.m. EST.
