Fleetwood Mac have released their first new material in 10 years.
The band have unveiled their new EP ‘Extended Play’ on iTunes. The four track record is the first studio material from the band since their 2003 LP ‘Say You Will’. Guitarist Lindsey Buckingham revealed earlier this month that the EP was on the way during a concert in Philadelphia. At the time he said: “One of the things we thought would be a good idea before we hit the road would be to go into the studio and cut some new material. So last year we did that. It’s the best stuff we’ve done in a long time and in a few days we’re going to drop an EP of new stuff.”
It contains new tracks ‘Sad Angel’ that was performed at the gig at the Fargo Centre, ‘It Takes Time’ and ‘Miss Fantasy’ all penned by Buckingham. It also includes ‘Without You’ a rediscovered and revamped track originally written by Stevie Nicks from the pair’s Buckingham/Nicks project. The group are set to embark on a UK and Irish tour taking in three gigs at London’s O2 Arena in September.
