The Rolling Stones have confirmed that they will play a second date at London’s Hyde Park in June.

The rock legends will now perform at the central London location as part of the Barclaycard presents British Summer Time festival on June 13 in addition to the previously announced date on June 6. Support on the day will come from Jake Bugg, Tom Odell and The 1975. Tickets for The Rolling Stones in Hyde Park go on general sale at 9am Friday, April 12.

Tickets for The Rolling Stone’s first Hyde Park gig sold out in just three minutes when they went on sale last week. As many as 65,000 tickets were snapped up in just three minutes after they went on sale at 9am this morning priced at £95.

While some fans expressed concerns that VIP tickets on offer at £300 would restrict views to the stage, the gig’s promoters AEG Live promoter Rob Hallett has assured ticketholders that they will get a good view of the band. “The band wanted the regular ticket-holders to be right at the front of the stage staring at the whites of their eyes, not 200 yards away,” he said. “The people who have coughed up for hospitality packages will get looked after in a way they have never known before. But when the doors open, if you can run faster than the next guy, it will be like any other general admission gig. You will get down front.”
