Florence And The Machine have secured their second week at Number One in the Official UK Singles Chart with ‘Spectrum’.
The track, which has been remixed by dance titan Calvin Harris, was neck and neck with Maroon 5’s ‘Payphone’ going into the weekend, but a late surge in sales helped the group hold onto the top spot, reports the Official Charts Company.
Chris Brown climbs back up one place to Number 3, leapfrogging Will.i.am’s ‘This Is Love’ which drops to Number 4, while StooShe hold on to their Top 5 place with ‘Black Heart’.
Meanwhile, The X Factor 2011 finalist Misha B is this week’s highest new entry with her debut single ‘Home Run’ landing at Number 11, securing the singer’s first Top 20 hit. Elsewhere, Kylie Minogue has been given a boost this week as her track ‘Timebomb’ jumps an impressive 105 places to reach Number 42 in the chart.
In the Official UK Album Chart, Elton John lands his first Number 1 album in 22 years with his collaboration with Pnau entering at the top spot. The album, ‘Good Morning To The Night’, is a re-imagining of the singer’s hits from 1970-1976 by the Aussie electronic duo.
Elsewhere, Maroon 5’s ‘Overexposed’ climbs one place to Number 2, Frank Ocean’s ‘Channel Orange’ drops to Number 3, fresh from his spectacular show last Sunday (July 15), Paul Simon’s ‘Graceland’ is at Number 4 and Ed Sheeran is at Number 5 with ‘+’.
