The Rolling Stones had been planning a 2011 tour, according to details in a lawsuit between concert promoter Live Nation and its former chairman Michael Cohl.
Cohl is being sued by Live Nation over a contract he signed with the company when he left in 2008, reports Hollywoodreporter.com.
He is now countersuing the company, claiming that Live Nation attempted to “interfere” and “destroy” his bid to gain promotional rights to the forthcoming tour.
He claimed in the suit that Live Nation were originally going to partner him on a bid for the tour, although no concrete details about any dates have been revealed by either the band or any promoters.
Last November guitarist Keith Richards said the band were likely to tour in 2011.
