Adele’s new album, ’21’, looks set to storm the UK albums chart on Sunday (January 30), having sold more than 100,000 copies since its release on Monday (24).
According to midweek figures from The Official Charts Company the album is outselling the rest of the Top 10 albums combined.
Meanwhile, Adele’s debut album, ’19’, is on course to re-enter the Top Five.
Liam Gallagher’s new band Beady Eye have also released their debut single ‘The Roller’ digitally this week. The track has a full release date of February 21, but has so far only made it to Number 28 in the midweek figures after being made available as a download.
The song is being outsold by other new entries including The Vaccines’ ‘Post Break-Up Sex’, which is the midweek Number 19, and The Wombats, who are at the midweek Number 27 with ‘Jump Into The Fog’.
Ke$ha’s single ‘We R Who We R’ looks likely to claim the Number One spot on Sunday.
