NICK CAVE NUOVO ALBUM?

Nonostante la relativamente recente pubblicazione con iÂ Grinderman,Â Nick Cave ha giÃ annunciato di avere in programma il lancio di un nuovo album coi Bad Seeds nel corso del prossimo anno: al momento, tuttavia, di materiale – anche in fase di pre-produzione – non pare essercene, almeno secondo quanto rivelato dall’autore e cantante australiano. “Devo ancora scrivere il disco”, ha fatto sapere l’artista: “Al momento di pronto non ho niente, ma non mi preoccupo, perchÃ© faccio sempre cosÃ¬. So giÃ quando inizierÃ² a scrivere, nel mio ufficio di Londra: sarÃ quando avrÃ² finito il tour con i Grinderman, che sta andando benissimo. I Bad Seeds, tuttavia, sono un’altra cosa”. Come giÃ rivelato in diverse interviste, Nick Cave concentra il suo processo creativo in session tra le 9 del mattino e le 5 del pomeriggio, cinque giorni alla settimana, in un vero e proprio ufficio situato nella capitale britannica, seguendo un metodo di lavoro metodico e scrupoloso molto simile a quello adottato dagli autori e dai compositori che diedero vita alla Tin Pan Alley newyorchese nella prima metÃ del secolo scorso. Dopo la branca americana, calendarizzata fino al prossimo primo dicembre, la tournÃ©e dei Grinderman proseguirÃ in Australia, dove si concluderÃ il prossimo 6 febbraio a Perth.

Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds have revealed that they will release a new album in 2011.

Set to be the follow-up to 2008’s ‘Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!’, frontman Nick Cave admitted that he hasn’t started writing the album yet.

“There will be a new Bad Seeds record next year,” he told SpinnerMusic.co.uk. “I’ve got to write one, I haven’t written anything yet, but that’s not how I go about things anyway.”

“I have the starting date for the next record and that’s when I go into the office and start it,” he continued. “I’m not doing that until I’ve finished the Grinderman tour, which is amazing. The band is something else.”

Cave is currently on a North American tour with Grinderman in support of their second album ‘Grinderman 2’.

PJ Harvey’s eighth album, Let England Shake, comes out February 14 via Island, according to her site. The LP was recorded in an old Dorset, England church with producer Flood and longstanding Harvey collaborators John Parish and Mick Harvey, who will feature in her live band along with drummer Jean-Marc Butty.
