Tonight, “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” devotes its entire broadcast to one very special guest: Bruce Springsteen, who will be interviewed as well as perform with house band the Roots. Last night, a very different kind of boss stopped by the show: Nick Cave, who brought his noisy, gnarled fuzz-rock combo Grinderman.

The band performed a white-knuckle version of the Grinderman 2 track “Mickey Mouse and the Goodbye Man”. Late night TV performances don’t often get this intense. Watch it below. (P.S. Some guy named Sufjan Stevens is the musical guest on “Fallon” on Friday. Good week of bookings!)

Grinderman also recently made a video for their latest single “Worm Tamer”. It’s a vicious live-in-studio performance, directed by artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard. That’s also below.

Man, Warren Ellis’ beard just gets scarier every day, doesn’t it?
