Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme has confirmed to NME the band are set to start work on a new album in 2011.
The star said the trio plan to head into the studio for the follow up to 2009’s ‘The Resistance’ after they take some time off from touring. Watch him talking about Muse’s plans in a video to your right.
“We’ll definitely start working on a new album next year,” he revealed before adding: “I think we’ll definitely take some time off after this touring period because it’s something we’ve never done. I think the most time we’ve had off is about six weeks in the last 12 years, so we’re due a break.”
Muse headlined the Main Stage on the opening night of T In The Park on Friday (July 9).
Speaking about this year’s three-day bash, Wolstenholme added: “It’s been pretty good here. I think it’s the first time I’ve been to T In The Park and it’s not rained which is always a bonus because any festival you do, the weather always has a massive impact. Last time we were here it was terrible.”
