Ronnie Wood has hinted that The Rolling Stones might be set to begin touring again.
The band who haven’t toured together since finishing their Bigger Bang tour in 2007, are said to be getting along well with a tour possibly in the works for 2010.
“It’s all very good. I saw Mick [Jagger] and Charlie [Watts] last week. Everything is great.” Wood told BBC 6 Music, before revealing his thoughts on the band touring again. “Yeah, well I just did that with The Faces, but I’m ready to rock.” And as for the Stones back on tour in 2010? “Let’s hope so, yeah.” He added.
Being interviewed at the Classic Rock Awards where Wood picked up an award for his contribution to rock music, the guitarist explained what getting the award on his own merit meant.
“It means a lot,” he said. “It’s about time – I’ve never had one just for myself.”
As previously reported a Rolling Stones tour could put a halt on Faces reforming with Rod Stewart, but potential dates for either band have yet to be confirmed.
