The MEAT PUPPETS ARE BACK! and release their new album SEWN TOGETHER on May 12th 2009! Recorded at The Saltmine in Phoenix, Arizona over winter 2009, the album features the return of the Kirkwood brothers, Chris & Curt, with drummer Ted Marcus. It’s 12 new songs of pure rock, country and a bit of punk attitude.

The highly influential band started as a punk rock band but established their own unique style blending punk, country and psychedelic rock. The band later gained significant exposure when the Kirkwood brothers served as gues musicians on Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged performance in 1993. The band’s subsequent album “Too High To Die” went gold, selling over 500,00 albums and became their most successful release. The band has been going full-on since their reunion in 2006.

Everyone from Nirvana to Dinosaur Jr. to Stone Temple Pilots cite the Meat Puppets as of the most significant American bands!
