Un caro saluto a tutti!
Non capisco cosa sia successo tecnicamente a Buzz Radio ed ai vari link (alla vs destra) che non appaiono piu’ in home page ,almeno a me.
Mi informero’ subito con l’amico rocker Luca ,webmaster.
Intanto vi segnalo alcuni ascolti del weekend ,peraltro in parte consigliati dagli amici blogger.
D’altra parte www.buzzandmusic.com si propone di essere non il blog di Buzz ma il blog di tanti amici appassionati di musica con i quali e’ un vero piacere scambiare informazioni,impressioni e non solo.

Inoltre, scrivi anche i titoli dei dischi, a fianco agli artisti che citi, se lo facessi, il dibattito ne gioverebbe assai, non essere pigro dunque e aggiungi i titoli. :-))

hai ragione alien……mi fido cosi tanto della mia memoria che skazzo in pieno…….d’ora in poi specifico ,anzi specifico subito…… ovviamente per i Prefab Sprout parlo della nostalgia di Steve Mc Queen se non erro e del resto vado a vedere il mio post porca pu……..poi sono inkzzto perche’ non ci sono i link e la radio,,,,,,,,questi blog e internet a volte fanno morire:-)))))DDDmannaggia che autosputtanamento eh eh eh eh ma questi si dovevano chiamare proprio cosi?li skazzo sempre ah ah ah ah ah manco fossero gli everything but the girl 🙂

Cià che allora, in rigoroso ordine sparso, ti dico, cos’ho ascoltato in questi ultimi sei giorni: 1) sto cantautore nato in terra di Irlanda che risponde al nome di Declan de Barra, mi sembra degno di nota, A Fire To Scare The Sun(Blackstar records)è il suo secondo e nuovo lavoro.
2) Il dream-pop o ambient-shoegaze, come lo definisce Onda Rock degli Au Revoir Borealis, con il loro Dark Enough For Stars, alla lunga è un poco stucchevole, per me, s’intende.
3) Peter Bruntnell: Peter And The Murder Of Crows(Loose Records)è così definito da Rolling Stone: “One of England’s best kept musical secrets”, direi che esagerano, ma un innegabile psychedelic British fashion, il nostro, con questo suo settimo lavoro, è innegabile che ce l’ha.
4) Costei, ha il culo, ops la fortuna di vivere, tra Parigi e Los Angeles, grazie al fatto che ha padre francese e madre americana e scrive canzoni melanconiche e dark. Disco elegante fatto di violini, pianoforte, chitarra e percussioni; si chiama Sydney Wayser, Silent Parade il suo cd,(Silent Parade Rec.).
5) “Anna-Lynne Williams has one of those crystal-clear voices made up of shyness, loneliness and quiet despair.” (NME). Anna-Lynne Williams negli ultimi anni ha prestato la propria voce a Chemical Brothers, Minotaur Shock, Noise Unit, Phononoir, Anomie Belle, Au Revoir Borealis; Lotte Kestner, è il nome del suo progetto solista e China Mountain, ne è il titolo. Il Cd è autoprodotto, no label..per ora.
6) Cambiando completamente genere, il Reggae che l’inglesina, Ava Leigh mette sul piatto con il suo cd, Rollin’, ha veramente le palle. Se piace il Reggae, disco godibillissimo con il duo Sly & Robbie, in cabina di regia.

Uh! Dimenticavo, Pete Greenwood, con Sirens (Heavenly Rec.) e qui, data l’ora tarda, vado di copia/incolla e auguro la buona notte: Pete Greenwood is apparently a relative newcomer to song writing, and a reluctant one at that, having only put pen to paper in order to fulfil the requirements of his music course. He has been writing for less than two years, no doubt making many song writing pros feel woefully inadequate. Pete Greenwood sounds as though he was born writing songs, and this is only his first album.
Title track and album opener Sirens is misleading at first. It sounds too smooth and safe. In light of the rest of the album however, it grows on you, but it is not representative of the record as a whole. It’s a shaky start but all is forgiven when track two, Negotiations and Last Words kicks in. This is stripped back, not overly polished like the first track, and it gives a better indication of what to expect from the rest of album. Negotiations and Last Words is just Greenwood and his guitar creating a rhythm that conjures an image of a train journey, fields and towns speeding by the window. What the lyrics depict is far darker, disguised by the frivolity of the melody. Greenwood tells the tale of a man held hostage in his office, his life flashing before his eyes, wishing he could call his wife. “Well I always thought I’d end my story going out in a blaze of glory / This is undignified, this is no way for a man to die” the man laments. It’s poignant and sombre, marking Greenwood out as a great song writing talent.
Greenwood is best in his purest, acoustic form. The blurb on Pete’s Myspace page reads, “Born in Leeds, moved to London. Came across a nice guitar and wrote a bunch of songs” – simplicity is what this man is all about. The album consists of a gentle, pensive collection of songs, broken in the middle by two instrumental tracks simply named A and B which demonstrate Greenwood’s musical dexterity, before the album takes a more Americana turn with Bats Over Barstow, a tribute to Hunter S. Thompson. The album ends with the light, playful Penny Dreadful. The only downside is that at a mere 31 minutes, this record ends too soon, cut short rather like the life of the man in Negotiations and Last Words.
Greenwood wears his influences on his sleeve, Nick Drake and Bob Dylan most notably. There are hints of English folk and nods towards American country music. The combination of Greenwood’s intricate guitar patterns and rich melancholy voice carry the album beautifully. He makes no allowances for the modern and for this he is unapologetic.

ciao Alien sei pazzesco e io stasera sono un po’ fuori ma la n6 porca boia me la ricordo bene e ho pure postato da qualche parte,mi fa impazzire ,e’ pazzesca……..sul resto caro mio sono sugli “acid” e mi inchino…….
Si cari ragazzi ,qui abbiamo l’oro ,il tesoro,tutti insieme con il ns contributo possiamo rendere questo umile blog una compagnia virtuale che puo’ veramente “spaccare” come una etichetta indie o un live di una grande band emergente,rock on ,,,,,,,,l’unione fa la forza e lo scambio di notizie ecc credo sia utilissimo a tutti,,,,su di me contateciiiiiiiiii giurin giuretto:-))))

con tutti sti Greenwood vado sugli “arconaleni” insieme ai Radiohead …….la colonna sonora de IL PETROLIERE e’ bellissima,anche se capisco che non ha molto a che fare con Peter Greenwood,alla prox Alien e grazieeeeeeeee ,Buzz
