Il nuovo album dei Foo Fighters, in uscita il 12 aprile, si intitolerà “Wasting Light” e conterrà 11 brani. Il primo singolo “Rope” uscirà il primo marzo. Lunedì il gruppo di Dave Grohl ha realizzato per i fan un video con Lemmy dei Motorhead, come regalo di San Valentino online. “Wasting Light” è stato prodotto da Butch Vig e mixato da Alan Moulder. Ospite l’altro ex Nirvana, Krist Novoselic. April, it turns out, is the month that New York bands from the start of the last decade take over Madison Square Garden. On April 2, LCD Soundsystem will play their last-ever show at the world’s most famous arena. And on April 1, the night before, returning rock royalty the Strokes will play the very same venue, according to frontman Julian Casablancas’ Twitter. Someone should tell the Knicks to clear the schedule in case Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, or, I don’t know, Radio 4 suddenly decide that they want to play the Garden.
The Strokes’ new album Angles hits stores March 22 in the U.S. via RCA and March 21 in the UK via Rough Trade. They’ve got a few shows coming up besides the MSG one, and we’ve got them listed out below. Also below, check out the band’s forever-classic “Last Nite” video.
