Sul sito neozelandese Stuff sono uscite alcune dichiarazioni di Paul McGuiness, storico manager della band, riguardo alla prossima uscita discografica del gruppo. Sembra che gli U2 stiano lavorando sul nuovo album in questi giorni di passaggio in Nuova Zelanda per cercare di rispettare la “deadline” che si sono posti.
“Stiamo cercando di usare il tempo che passeremo qui in Nuova Zelanda ed in Australia per finire un album che uscirà in primavera” ha detto McGuiness
Il “quinto membro” ha poi aggiunto che la band non sta registrando in questi giorni ma stanno lavorando duro sugli ultimi dettagli, i ritocchi finali.
“Non si tratta di registrare quanto piuttosto di modificare e rifinire i testi e cercare di farlo in tempo per consegnare il materiale alla casa discografica per un’uscita a maggio. Suona meravigliosamente: ci sono molte hit.”

Willie Nelson arrested on drug charge in Texas
Country singer charged with marijuana possession
Willie Nelson was charged with marijuana possession in Texas yesterday (November 26) after police found drugs on his tourbus.
Six ounces of the drug were found on the bus at 9am (MST) in Sierra Blanca, a US Border Patrol spokesperson told the El Paso Times newspaper. An officer had searched the vehicle after smelling the substance with three people, including Nelson, arrested.
Nelson was held briefly, paid a $2,500 (£1,600) bond and was released.
He’s due to play the Winstar Casino in Thakerville tonight.
