Foo Fighters surprised diners in a Californian pizza restaurant on Monday (December 9) by playing a secret show – watch fan-filmed footage of it above.
The band took to the stage at the 200-capacity Rock & Roll Pizza venue in Moorpark, playing a 23-song set of classic tracks. No new songs were debuted. Watch 11 minutes of fan footage, which includes ‘Learn To Fly’, ‘White Limo’ and ‘Arlandria’ above.
Foo Fighters will make their big live comeback later this week in Mexico (December 13). Last month the band teased the gig by posting an image of a blood splattered guitar on their Facebook page tagged with the caption: “First practice. Been too long. Look out, Mexico.”
The band will play Mexico City’s 55,000-capacity Foro Sol stadium, with The National providing support on the night. Foo Fighters’ last gig was in New York in September 2012 at the Global Festival event.
Earlier this year, the group’s guitarist Chris Shiflett revealed that the band are planning to begin recording their new album early next year (2014). Dave Grohl also recently confirmed that the album, the band’s follow-up to 2011’s ‘Wasting Light’, has now been written and hinted at a 2014 release date.
