Si chiaman Iran su Narnack Records, uscirà ai primi di febbraio 2009, titolo Dissolver. Segnatevi il nome, son da tenere d’occhio…Indie rock buried in fuzz & hiss, ma che bello che è il questo disco!

Above is a pretty hilarious teaser video for Iran’s new EP, Buddy, due out digitally on November 4 via Narnack Records. As the headline above indicates, you care because one Kyp Malone of TV on the Radio plays guitar in Iran, along with Aaron Aites (who sang backup on Return to Cookie Mountain) and former Grand Mal member Aaron Romanello. Plus, Iran is a pretty great band.
Buddy is just an appetizer however; Iran’s got a full-length album called Dissolver due out on Narnack on February 3. Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio did some production work on the album. If you opt to buy Buddy when it is released on iTunes, you’ll get a discount on Dissolver when it is released.
Iran are planning a 2009 tour, but in the meantime, they have a gig at CMJ on October 25 at the Narnack CMJ showcase. Kyp won’t be on board for that however, he’s in the midst of TV on the Radio tour. [Pitchfork]
