Day two of U2’s taping for tonight’s premiere of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is in the books, and there wasn’t much new on the performance front today. Just like they did yesterday, U2 recorded two takes of “Invisible” for a small crowd of invited fans and guests at “Top of the Rock” — the observation tower 70 stories up at the top of NBC’s headquarters in Manhattan. Also like yesterday, members of the Rutgers University Marching Band performed with U2 during today’s shoot.
The Tonight Show premieres tonight on NBC at Midnight ET/PT, 11 pm CT. Check your local listings to make sure on those times.
The info about today’s performance comes from an @U2 reader/forum member, who also tells us that he asked Dallas Schoo (Edge’s longtime guitar tech) about the new U2 album, and Dallas said it will be out in April. We certainly hope he’s right, but all of the rumors and tips we’ve heard lately say it’ll be released in June.
