Art Garfunkel has announced his recovery from vocal cord paresis on his website, and that he will be returning to the stage for a series of shows in the southeast this winter.
Garfunkel’s vocal cord paresis diagnosis in 2010 resulted in a cancellation of a Simon and Garfunkel tour and a solo tour in 2012. In order to warm up his voice again, Garfunkel performed at a few intimate shows last year, but decided that he wanted to go on tour again. “The voice is back. I’m in flight again,” Garfunkel said in a press release. “I believe I have grown through adversity. A new creation has emerged that is truly exciting me—my stage show.”
