Starting on September 21, 2010, Bob Marley and The Wailers’ album, “Legend,” will be on the Rock Band Music Store on PSN. The album was originally released in 1984 and sold over 25 million copies in the United States alone. Truthfully, I could sit here and rattle off all of the accolades, but let’s just keep it short and sweet: it is the highest selling reggae album of all time and definitely deserves its spot at 46 on Rolling Stone magazine’s “Top 500 Albums of All Time” list.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that “Legend” holds the second longest streak in Billboard history (1,000 weeks).
But now you, yes you, can play this fantastic compilation with plastic instruments. This is a prelude to Marley’s “Get Up, Stand Up” being on the Rock Band 3, which was previously announced.
Each song can be had for $1.99 individually, with the whole shebang running $19.99. Below are the tracks:
“Is This Loveâ€
“No Woman No Cryâ€
“Could You Be Lovedâ€
“Three Little Birdsâ€
“Buffalo Soldierâ€
“Stir It Upâ€
“One Love/People Get Readyâ€
“I Shot the Sheriffâ€
“Waiting in Vainâ€
“Redemption Songâ€
“Satisfy My Soulâ€
“Exodusâ€
“Jammingâ€
(All tracks are master recordings.)
“My father was interested in bringing reggae music to the entire world,†said Ziggy Marley, “and now that his music is coming to Rock Band, as the first reggae artist in the game, we are excited to open the doors to reggae music to a whole new group of young people.â€
