U2’s 360° Tour takes a revolutionary turn
After pushing the envelope in stadiums with the Zoo TV Tour in 1992-93 and PopMart in 1997-98, U2 blasts off into unexplored realms with its current 360° Tour, a high-tech production anchored by a four-taloned 400-ton clawlike stage that offers clear sight lines from every seat. “It works as a device for getting you closer to the audience,â€bassist Adam Clayton says of the hulking spacecraft. “Because it messes with the scale of everthing, it gives the illusion that the space is smaller.
